As hard, stressful and tiring that we think business is, something happens every now and again to put us back in our place and reminds us how jammy we have it.
Just over 2 weeks ago was one of those moments. As some of you will know recently we had some of the world's best chefs in dining with us and we even had the pleasure of hanging out with them afterwards. As restaurateurs, it does not get much better than that.
Upon leaving the restaurant in the early hours of the morning, on a buzz like no other, we were literally stopped in our tracks by the sight of a young man, a similar age to ourselves, sleeping outside a very well known city centre establishment.
It wasn't the first time that we have seen a homeless person but the contrasts in fortunes, had a resounding impact. Of course its a very natural thing to enjoy success and big achievements when they happen and rightly so. However we should never for a second take them for granted, because on the flip side is a world that we cant even imagine.
On Friday 2nd December, Ronan will be sleeping out in order to raise as much awareness and more importantly funds, in association with the amazing charity Cope. On the night our 'Auld Fella', Eugene Snr, who is looking pretty stacked if you ask me, will be accompanying him and doubling up on security duty by the looks of it ;)
As our Auld Fella often says The Silent Priest never got the Parish, in other words if you dont ask, you wont get. We want to raise as much money as we can so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE show your support to Ronan in anyway you can, no matter how big or small. Here is how you can help:
1. Simply follow this link and donate: www.idonate.ie/ronangreaney
